I’m an Employee

What's in it for me?

When respondents were asked whether they were supported by their employers in the period between September 2020-August 2021, 52% said they did not feel supported. Almost one third of respondents expect or would like more support from their employer.

Symptoms of burnout include emotional exhaustion, lack of energy, loss of satisfaction at work, difficulty in concentrating, frustration and irritability with colleagues. There are personal consequences of this – poor mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Have you been considering changing your job or employer?

Do you feel as though it’s awkward to talk about personal things at work for fear of it affecting your employment or the way people at work or management might respond?

Are you realising the importance of having a job that allows you to have more quality time at home and therefore a better overall quality of life?

The BWA recognises that people value a working environment where they are really valued for both who they are as well as what they do.

Recent research would suggest that an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical health, productivity, creativity, and engagement are all improved when they have the right wellbeing support in place in their workplace.
